The machine came in blue and red livery.
In 1953, Joe Bamford developed the world’s first backhoe loader by adding a backhoe onto the back of a Major Loader - essentially a Fordson tractor with a hydraulic excavator at the rear, a Major Loader at the front and an optional cab. The JCB logo also appears for the first time.
Building on the success of 1960's JCB 4 backhoe loader, which replaced the Hydra-Digga Loadall, in 1961 the JCB 3 sets more trends with the ability to dig tight up against a wall. It was presented at the Cristal Palace Plant show in the summer of 1961.
Всего 64 погрузчика Loadall было произведено в 1977 году.
Торговое наименование "Loadall" было введено для всей линейки телескопических погрузчиков JCB в 1982 году.
К 40-летию серии было продано более 220000 погрузчиков Loadall.
