Takeuchi have moved into 6 tonne category weight class with the TB260 excavator. Not just an expanded TB250, or a reduced down TB285, the new TB260 is the first Takeuchi 6 tonne and fills the gap Takeuchi had in the range between 5 and 8.t tonnes.

The new model weighs in at 5570kg with a massive 43.2kN bucket breakout force from a relatively compact overall size - with a machine track footprint of just 2000x 2573mm; just 1300mm rear end radius makes all the difference on-site as does a ground reach of 6120mm.

The environmentally friendly diesel engine is both fuel efficient - with automatic idle, dial throttle control with economy work-mode and electronic engine monitoring. Ground level service access points provide for easy routine maintenance

The 260 has the operator in mind, the roomy isolated cab minimises the impact felt with a sliding suspended seat, 10-way adjustable headrest and ergonomically positioned hand and foot controls. Complete with a stylish large comfortable cab with plenty of foot room, high capacity automatic climate control, with heater and defrost options. With excellent all round visibility, retractable front window, large skylight with sun shade and removable lower window section provides for warmer working environments.
